Where can I find and review donation details?

Overview

By using our ShoppingGives app, you have access to donation reporting within our app that will give you insights and donation specific information such as the ability to view donations by order number or by nonprofit supported.

How It Works

Open the ShoppingGives app and click on Reporting from the menu at the left of the page:

You will land at the Reporting page — note that you are able to filter which time frame you would like data for (i.e. Today, Last 30 days, All time, etc.) by using the button highlighted below:

You will then see your donation details for the selected time frame displayed on page!

Filtering Donation Details

Let's review the different views and filters pictured in the above screenshot below:

You can use the search bar to search all donations from the selected time frame using Order ID, Customer ID, Nonprofit Supported, Nonprofit EIN, or the corresponding invoice number

Above the search bar, there are four different tabs that will bring you to different reports:

  • Merchant Donations: this view will display all merchant-funded donations from the selected time frame (Store Donation on Purchase)

  • Customer Donations: this view will display all customer-funded donations from the selected time frame (Customer Round Up, Customer Add-On)
    • For a customer, these donations are represented as a "Round Up Donation" or "Add On Donation" product line item on their order receipt.
  • Nonprofit Donations: this view will display all donations from the selected time frame broken down by the nonprofit supported

To the right of the search bar are four drop-down menus that will allow you to further filter the donation information shown on page:

  • Status: within Reporting, you will see generated donations in one of a few different statuses — The Status drop-down menu will allow you to select which donation statuses to display out of the following:

      • Pledged: this status indicates that the donation has been generated, but not yet invoiced to you

      • Received: this indicates the donation has been invoiced, paid, and will be included in the next monthly payout to the designated nonprofit

      • Granted: this indicates the donation has been invoiced, paid, and granted to the designated nonprofit organization

      • Returned: this indicates the donated was generated at some point, but the order has since been returned — donations on returned orders are automatically canceled
  • Source: this drop-down menu will allow you to choose which order sources to display if multiple sales channels are enabled (ex: Online Store versus Point of Sale)

  • Type: this drop-down menu will allow you to select which donation types to display (POS Sale, Store Donation, etc.)

  • Invoice ID: this drop-down menu will allow you to select specific invoice IDs to display donations within a specific invoice
