For automatic fulfillment of customer-funded donation products (Add-On & Round Up) via third-party fulfillment providers, we have a custom Shopify Flow flow.
If you are a Shopify Plus merchant utilizing a third-party for order fulfillment (3PL/ERP), it's possible a ShoppingGives customer-funded donation product line item -- "Add On Donation" or "Round Up Donation" -- in an order may not automatically fulfill. While our app does have logic in place for these non-physical donation product line items to automatically be transitioned to a status of "Fulfilled," that is not always compatible with third-party fulfillment providers.
For those Shopify Plus merchants utilizing a third-party fulfillment provider, we have a custom flow that can be utilized in conjunction with the Shopify Flow app to automatically fulfill these donation product line items on orders when:
- You have the "Fulfill the donation product automatically when purchased" setting selected/toggled on (default) within the ShoppingGives portal for the Add-On Donations and/or Round Up Donations campaign(s).
- Donation product line items are failing to automatically fulfill due to configurations/workflows with third-party fulfillment providers, most likely due to a lack of "Order.fufillmentOrders".
